You would need to give far more detail than you have for anyone to be able to help you. What exactly do you mean that you sent out explanations about your score, and to whom?

Hi

I went through the TransUnion and Equifax products. I went through the process of looking at what had to be fixed on my credit and used the service that allows you to automatically write a letter. I listed my explanations and printed out the letter and sent it out to both places. I was just wonder how long it would take until I saw something. As I understand it, they have 30 days to respond.

Thanks for your response.

Oh, it sounds like you're referring to the dispute function on MyFICO. Well generally disputes can take up to 45 days with the CRAs although they are frequently finished sooner. In many cases, however, it can be easier to dispute invalid information with the respective OC and CA reporting them. I'd suggest you take a read through the following thread for more information on how to proceed with the credit rebuilding process.

http://ficoforums.myfico.com/fico/board/message?board.id=rebuildingcredit&thread.id=28996

The online dispute gives them 45 days. If you mail it, they have 30 days. Best to mail so they have less time.

Per the FCRA, the CRAs have 30 days to complete an investigation, whether you do it online, the phone, or by mail. If information comes in to them at or near the 30th day, they are allowed to take an additional 15 days to complete the investigation. Generally the CRAs will tell you 45 days to stave off the phone calls when day 30 hits.
