Any suggestions on CCs I can/should apply for. I am trying to follow Midnight's Formula!

AU with hubby:

No baddies on any

Joint motgage / second mortgage No baddies two years old

Baddies:

Joint mortgage with ex- last late was in 2005, home was sold a year ago, so no potential for new baddies

Cap 1 charge off 3 years old

4 paid collections, most recent was in Jan 2007

No, I haven't.

One was NCO Fin and I hear they are bears.

I was, hoever, considering doing a GW on the ex's mortgage. I disputed it, failed, but the CR's are noted that he was responsible for payments...

Upwards of 90%.

Main reason my scores are so low, according to MyFICO. And yes, I have a plan! PAY THEM DOWN ASAP!

Get that util down before applying for any more cards. Doing so should get you in the mid-600s which will open up more card options.

What about a secured card. Are those at all helpful regarding FICO's?

Your problem is not the number of accounts, its the util. And the cards you might be able to get now won't come with high enough CLs to offset your high util.

However, if you want to try go for TU pullers.
