Yes I had a total of 6 negative items late payments etc. Three of them have been removed so only three remain. I just thought that as things fall off my credit score would increase at least 3-4 points per each negative items. So what are some other ideas I can do to increase my credit score I only need it to go up 20 points. I am in the process of getting my balances down to at least 30 %. I guess I am looking for a miracle and it just might not happen.

I have removed 2 negative items and 1 negative item has fallen off my credit report within the past two months, but my credit score is still the same. How often does your credit score updates, because whenever something bad is reported your score instantly falls several points. We are trying to refinance our house and this is nerve reckoning...

Your credit score is a summary of the minute you order the report. It does not lag behind. Anything in the actual report will be factored into the score.

Do you still have a negative item reporting? You probably will not see a large increase until all negatives are gone, as you are still in a dirty bucket.

You need to look at the score reasons on your credit report of which there are four ususally. The first two is what is impacting your score the most. You said you six bad items three of which were removed. The bad items the most recent ones are having a greater impact on the score than the older ones. Of the ones that have been removed were they recent or older ones? What type loan are you applying for mortgage, auto ?
