How long does it take for hard inq to fall off of credit report? My husband and I both have a bunch from December 2008, because of car shopping.

Also, the said car shopping was because I was hit sitting at a red light and my car was a total loss. The 'Automobile Power of Attorney Bill of Sale' and the 'Odometer Dislosure Statement' were both signed and sent to the insurance company in December. The insurance company didn't pay the lien holder until June. Because of this, I have 150 days past due. I have tried a 'goodwill call' to lien holder, online disputes with all 3 credit (more than once), and I just sent out letters to all 3 and the lien holded with a copy of the bill of sale. Anyone else had this issue? How did you resolve it?

All credit inquiries should come off your CR's after 2yrs.

Are you wondering from a scoring standpoint or just wanted to know when they would fall off?

What is the name of the company that has the car lien?

If it's Ford Motor Credit......They wont budge at all.

Have you asked the insurance co to talk to the lien holder? .....To see if they lien holder would consider reporting something positive.

The credit inquiries do come off after 2 years, but as far scoring goes they stop affecting your score after 1 year, so in 2 months they shouldn't affect your score at all.

If you had a bunch of inquiries that were coded as auto loan inquiries, all inquiries that occured within a sliding 14-day window are scored by FICO as only a single uinquiry,. After one year, FICO ignores them.
