I can't believe EQ is this slow at adding new accounts?

Here's the situation - I have an FA and Freeze on EQ. I wonder if that affects the bureau adding new accounts. Do they have to take extra precautions.?Oh, My address is still incorrect with EQ and for now, I've given up faxing them daily with my DL asking them to change. They change it back to the former address the next day. I called the auto finance company and changed my address as I have learned that EQ will use the address that the creditors report. Perhaps it's the combo of addresses not matching up, FA and Freeze that could be causing the slow down of adding any new accounts. I don't know.

I know EQ is the slowest at adding accounts.

First, nothing has been added to my report and I have a few new accounts.

BOFA AU - added I think end of August on both EX and TU - still not reporting

Nordstrom - open in Sept 10 09, EX picked it up day I got my card. Not on TU yet

Target Visa - opened in Oct, added to eX and TU last week.

Does anyone have any insight?

for now, not adding the accoutns is not that terrible, but it would have helped my utilization, but i could get a ding for lowering my 7 year AAoA with the two new accounts.

Having an FA and Freeze doesn't affect new accounts being added to your reports. EQ is just slow reporting new tradelines. EX is always the first to add the new tradelines. The CRA's can add the new tradelines regarless if your address and etc, are reporting errors. As long the new accounts matches your SSN the accounts will eventually appear.

I have freezes on all my reports, and the new tradelines appeared eventually on my EQ. Remember it can take anywhere from 30-90 days for CRA's to update your reports.

thanks DI...I think it has been about 90 days for the BOFA. The inq from NOrdstrom was lighting fast...

HOw long did it take EQ to add your new tl's?

I dont know if this is the same issue, but BofA has stoped updtaing my TU and EQ report but continues to update EX. It could be because my account has been inactive for over 3 years or a possible cost saving measure. I would call BofA and ask them directly.

Thank you Marty...I will have the AU call to find out. They are updating his balances on the other reports as well. the card is active...the au on EQ never did come through. I guess I will have the AU make a quick call. I have the physical card.
