Never heard of them.

Some CUs pull EX vs. EQ. NASA FCU, CCCU, and I think Patelco all pull EX. I bet $5 that they'll pull when you open a share account, but would likely use the same inquiry for your car, should you app.

This CU is local to me. Currently offereing auto loan rates for around 4.24%. It is the best I could find and the plus is they have a branch relatively close to me.

I called and spoke to a rep and asked her if they pull credit to join, she told me they did not. She said we will run a chex systems on you (I got my own chexsystem report last week, bascially no information found on every item, so it's good). She said that when I apply for an auto loan, they will check my credit and they will check Experian.

Isn't it unusual for a CU to check EX? I'm sure that's my best report. I know we cannot compare FICO to plus scores, but my PLUS score on EX is 715; Only one inquiry, and fourteen positive accounts, with the three bads...there are many more positive accounts on EX that are still missing from tU and EX...

I told the rep I though that all CU's check credit just for membership. She said they did not. I asked her to double check. She said she did.. This is unusual, isn't it?
