I am currently getting calls from a collection agency for a medical debt for $30 from Dec 2001. I live in Georgia. I have no idea if this is even my debt. How can they continue to harrass me for an 8 year old debt?

So basically other than call there is nothing they can do. And they have spent more than $30 on calling me so it's actually pretty funny.

When they call, tell them no more phone calls -- only talk through the mail.

If they actually send you something (and no, do NOT verify your address over the phone with them), then DV them. You should find out if the debt is really yours.
