went to pay OC today 2/12/10 and it was sent for collection on 2/10/10 ?

I called OC to pay bill in full today 2/12/10 ($132.00) and lady said it was sent to collections on 2/10/10. I checked both fico reports on here and its not on either one. do you think if I call collection agency (Credit adjustment Board in Virgina) and pay in full that they wont report it? I am gonna pay bill either way I just dont want it on my report. any suggestions? I tried to call them today and they closed at 4pm. I will have to wait until monday. is there any hope?

Two days is a little soon for the CA to report.

I would call them first thing Monday morning and ask if you pay in full will they not report it to the CRA.

Most of the CAs I have dealt with give you 30 days before reporting.

thanks Guiness56 for the quick reply. I could kick myself in the butt for letting this by. i missed it by 2 days was gonna PIF today.

Should I :

1) ask them to send a letter saying they wont report it.

2) or just pay the bill and hope they dont report it.

3) is it good that I caught it early or do they have a standard routine they have to follow since they rec. the collection.
