Someone has an account thru Wells Fargo in my name and is able to use a credit card number to access this account. It is not affecting my account thru my new bank. I am no longer with Wells Fargo now. I need help in finding this account. My neighbors and people I work with are able to access this account but won't give me any more information. Please help. Thanks

Have you pulled all three of your credit reports from annualcreditreport.com to see if there's a fraudulent account listed? If not, I'd encourage you to do so ASAP.

I'm a little confused, though-- How did you become aware of the possibility that there was an account opened without your knowledge? What do you mean that "your neighbors and people you work with" are able to access the account? How did they become aware of it? How are they able to access it, and how do you know they're accessing it?

Have you tried contacting Wells Fargo, directly, about this account? You can call them, or go to a WF branch (if you have one near you) and answer the security questions that they have in lieu of providing an account number. You can also put your request in writing.

I don't want to get ahead of where you are in the 'discovery' process, here, but *IF* you find that an account has been opened fraudulently, you'll need to follow the steps here: FTC Identity Theft

i agree. so the op had a vision i guess. no way for She or he to know unless it was real. so this is useless to help with so little info. and your neighbors know but wont give info. how do you know your neighbors know? about this account. its a magical account i guess.

I smell a rat? Old thread, and considering the OP never came back, I'm wondering if the OP was just posting like it happened to him/ her but is maybe "the neighbor"..... Fishy.
