Moderators are amateurs.....

.....and I mean that in the nicest possible way

Just thought I would pop in and mention that the Mods on this board are just ordinary Joes and ?Joe-esses? like me and you all. They do not get paid and are not Fair Isaac employees (except Barry, and he is an Admin, not a Mod). They do a great job, often under rather trying circumstances, just for the good of the community. And at the same time they have to live a real life in the real world. Just like you and me, they have their opinions, and we all know that opinions may differ But they all work hard and their objective is to help produce a community that supplies free advice on the subject of credit. So please give them credit for what they do (pun intended)

And just for the record, I am one of the oldest posters on this board (in more ways than one), and have never been a Mod here, nor ever will be (it is too much like real work). I have no "special privileges" and have, in the past, both agreed and disagreed with the actions of the Mods. But I have been a Mod etc elsewhere, so I know what the job entails and how difficult it can be. It is impossible to please all the people all the time - and what a boring world it would be if that were possible.

Thank you all Mods. You have helped create and keep running a community that given a lot of valuable FREE advice and help to a lot of people

Actually, MV, we are paid via koolaid. It's optional though if we want to drink it.

Hi Fused,

I will happily do so. However, can you consult with Barry to find out if donations to the moderators are tax deductible?

It would make a difference to me in terms of donating one beer or two.

With all of the politics of personal kudos or qualifications ol the moderators, I will say one thing from my heart about this site.

This site allows, with some necessary restriction, the exchange of experience and opinions.

It is rare that any corporation would allow such an open site for discussion.

I think, love them of hate them, kudos must to out to Fair Isaac.

Agreed, Fair Isaac has allowed us to build a valuable resource with very little intervention. Kudos to them.

And I don't think it's fair to blame them for how some lenders have made foolish use of their scores: they merely provide data, with clear caveats. It was some lenders who decided to push the envelope because they could make more short term profit that way.
