I'm not sure divulging your SSAN over the phone to a CRA CSR is any more riskier than typing it into an Online form. Either can be compromised.

I tried to purchase my TU fico score here on myFIco today, but I got an error page stating they could not verify my identity and that I needed to call in to answer questions. The message also stated to have loan and credit card statements available. I called, rep started asking me to confirm info but I wasn't in the mood to divulge my SSN which is probably petty of me but sometimes I just don't feel secure giving out that info over the phone. Anyway - she couldn't verify without that info and my TU FICO purchase is now locked.

So I tried going to TU Consumer Solutions to purchase my score but everytime I type in the email address it automatically routes to the regular TU website which only seems to give the option to receive a free credit score with the purchase of their credit monitoring service. There is no mention of FICO so I assume the score would be a FAKO.

So am I to assume one can now only purchase their TU FICO score here?

The Marines don't have that problem".

Booo! I guess I'll have to call myFico back and divulge my life history.

Thanks for the feedback.
