Declined Gap Store Credit

Hi,

I applied for and was declined a Gap Store card yesterday. I filed Chpt 7 in October 2005, but since that time I have been good with my finances- however I know this is why I was declined. I am worried about how this will affect my credit score.

In January of this year (2011) I bought a car and at the time my combined score was 702.

Look into a secured card. Inquiries only hurt for up to a year but after 6 months most of the damage is gone.

Thanks for the reply. I am not so worried about not getting the card. I am wondering how many points will my cred score drop based on the declination?

And I should add that I currently have 3 credit cards (hsb, cap 1 and target); I use them each month and pay them off each month. I also have a mortgage payment, student loan payment and I have a car loan(installment loan?) that I am paying off. All three payments are made timely and should be building my score.
