So i filed a dispute w/ Equifax, but in my area we go through CSC. Well, I got the letter in the mail w/ my updated credit report and the 2 things I disputed were removed, YAY...buuuutttt....I haven't gotten any alert on score watch. So since I HAVE to go through CSC, will it not reflect on my Equifax report? I guess Im just a little confused.

SW does not alert you to anything that drops, only added. However, if the drop led to a score change, then you'll get alerted to it...assuming your Target Score was correctly set and your current score moves at or past your Target Score. SW scans your score every 7-10 days. What was disputed? OCs? CAs?

Scorewatch aside, credit reports are issued and FICO scoring is done based on your credit file at the time you request a CR or score. Regardless of whom you received your latest CR from, if the information was deleted from your credit file, it wont count in FICO scoring the next time your score is generated.

And of course, deletetion of disputed items of information does not delete any remaining delinquencies or derogs reported on the account. If other serious derogs still appear, the benefit from deletion may be minimal.
