BTW, we warn in here that some DMPs and all debt settlement companies are bad. The resulting damage to your credit for using these services WILL almost always lower your FICO. If FICO was in bed with DMPs and settlement companies, why would FICO lower your score for using them? ETA...the damage comes because the creditors will mark you late even if you pay on time via a reduced amount in a DMP. Per settlements, if you pay less, you will get socked anyway because the creditor will mark an equivalent as a charge-off.

But thats the idea, to keep your score low...keep you qualified for the MEGA intrest rates....The few that get the good rates is the HOOK and the BAIT...the other 95% are the suckers getting hauled to the boat to end up fried on the bottom line of the P&L

The Casinos alway PR the few winners to keep the suckers running through the doors also....

Why don't you list us your board of directors..AND tell us the OTHER boards they sit on, then perhaps we will believe......

FICO and the banks want your scores to be low, right? I'm fine on the interest rate bit per the banks, they make more money, but why would FICO want your score to be low? Are you implying that the banks pay them a percentage of the interest rate?

Who is paying a fee to whom?

You still haven't answered the question....how is FICO profiting off of keeping scores down? Where in their P&L does it say they get an income due to keeping scores down?

Why do you keep running on about some fee?!?!...this whole thread is about the collusion between FICO, Banks the Federal Reserve and such....All of you share board members. ALL of you have a hand in manipulating Retail credit to the point its in the area of just plain consumer fraud.....25 years ago the connections between you would have meant a jail sentence for the slime running the show

Deregulation that created the situation where all of you can be too friendly must be stopped and reversed.

Im willing to bet most of the people on here who are not shills (if there are any) don't even realize the Federal Reserve is a private corporation...AND NOT PART OF THE GOVERNMENT.

The fine tunings of FICO scoring can be somewhat mysterious, but stepping back and looking at the big picture, it's not that difficult to figure out. Pay your bills on time and don't max out your credit cards. Crazy how the scoring system seems to assign low scores to people that don't follow those common sense guidelines. Definitely something sinister going on here.

You have an interesting attitude toward this, and may or may not be right. I know where you're coming from though, I spent several years living off the grid, working for cash, paying for everything in cash, and hating the system that kept me down. Then one day I woke up and realized there will always be "a system". There will always be "Haves" and "Have Nots". And whether this system is better or worse than than others is up for debate.

If you take a step back and look, you'll find that it's possible to move into the "have's" category. With a little attention to detail, and hard work, you can get what you want from the system. Here at this site is provided a simple road map that will take you into the category of "The few that get the good rates". You can manipulate the system into woking for you. You can even make the banks work for free! I have had thousands of ATMs available to me, tellers on hand ready to help, and a national infrastructure that makes my money available to me everywhere I go and I never pay a dime. Instead, it's paid for by those who can't avoid overdraft fees, who instead of figuring out the system just sit and complains while paying fee after fee.

The system isn't going anywhere, man. But it's just a simple game. You can win if you want to, you just have to be willing to learn how it works. And this system, unlike most others, allows ANYONE to become one of the 5% that get all the best.

What I've found in personal experience was when I blew off creditors and didn't pay bills, I got high rates or no loans at all. When I paid my bills on time, and honored my agreements, I qualified for great rates and loans. If you are one of "the suckers getting hauled to the boat to end up fried on the bottom line of the P&L" it's only because you let it happen. Want to stick it to the man? Beat him at his own game.
