Last night I ordered a tv from ShopNBC w/ 6 value pays on my personal credit card. This morning EQ sends me a credit alert. My questions are:

Why does ShopNBC pulls inquiries for Value Pays?

How to tell if it's a hard or soft pull?

Will this affect me pulling up my credit score? Im trying to get a FHA loan by Sept 1st.

Can I asked ShopNbc to remove it, since I didn't apply for any credit card with them?

The FAQs about ValuePay states "Please note that orders submitted on ValuePay® are subject to credit approval and that ShopNBC reserves the right to make credit inquiries. " Not sure how easy it will be to get them to remove it.

You will have to explain this inquiry if you are trying to purchase a home in September.

Access to your CR is not limited to inquiries regarding the extension of credit. The are also authorized under section 604 with respect to "business transactions initiated by the consumer."
