How long to report.

If I pay off my CC's within the next week, how long will it be before they report a 0 balance?

Just left the dentist's office this morning and my daughters need some expensive dental work. I'd like to finance with care credit, but want to make sure I am approved. I am concerned because of high UTI. I'm reporting about 50% now.

Most companies update their records on the statement date or within a few days after the statement posts.

Thanks! That is what I thought. I just missed the report date on several of them last month when I paid them off. Half reported the 0 balance and the other half didn't, so I should be seeing the others reporting in about a week.

I agree, and also keep in mind that it may take the CRA's a few days after your creditors send the updated info to the CRA's, for your reports to actually be updated (like MVV has said)

In my experience, EX seems to be the first to update, then EQ a few days later and lastly TU a day or two after EQ, everyone may experience differences in which CRA updates first, and in what order, but I just thought I'd share my experience.

I'd say for example......if one of your CC's statement date is the 21st this month, you may want to wait till the 24th or so to pull a new report here at myFICO just because it could take a few days after your creditor sends the updated info to the CRA, to update your report.

This is just one of the reasons why I use CMS for all three CRA's, this way I can refresh my reports and be sure my reports are updated with the most recent info before I come here and purchase a myFICO report and score.
