I think it's every calendar year actually. I pulled some of my credit reports via the annualcreditreport interface in late 2011, and then pulled the same reports again in March/August respectively I think but I'll need to check my saved statements to remember which I got from where.

Yes, there is.

Make a documents folder on your computer for online credit reports. Label them as you wish, but for the annual reports, make a subfolder for each of the big three bureaus,

When you pull one, label it with the date for that pdf.

When you want to pull it again, you already know, exactly, when your last pull for that bureau occured.

Hope this helps somewhat.

I know you said free reports. However if you just want a report with no fico you can purchase tri merged reports for around $ 20.00 or soor individually from each major credit reporting agency.

The statutory mandate is once every 12 months, and is a rolling window based on your last free report.

The requirement for a free report flowing from an app for credit comes about if you are either denied or offered credit at less favorable terms, and lasts for ninety days from the date of denial or offer for less favorable terms. The creditor does not provide the free report, it must be directed to the CRA along with a copy of the denial letter within that period to be redeemed.
