You are right it has saved me money, I figured i was on the right path when i bought my new car this year and i was given a 3.9 interest rate from Aly Bank. It felt amazing to NOT have a suprime lender and some crazy high interest rate. THe hardest part is being patient. I would love to go on an app spree w/ my new ex. score but from all that i learn here i will continue to wait in the garden, and let time keep moving those numbers. I jsut dont understand why my equifax score is so much lower than the others w/ the same info on it. Thanks for all the warm wishes it really is a big deal for me anyhow.

I have a few new tradelines that were opened in the last 2 years all paid on time and never late. I just do not have a long AAOA so i think that hurts, plus all those credit pulls when i was car shopping. I swear the dealership pulled everybody under the sun. I am always up for any tips or ideas that will improve my score, so if you have any please share them with me.

Let 'em fall off, as old as they are. The time will fly by and your score will soar! I went through the same thing. I prioritized mine and paid accordingly. I also took mutilple inquires by opening new accounts that have been in good standing for 6+ years. I learned on here to outweight the bad with the good. It worked!

I bought a house 2 years ago and did not have to pay chargeoffs. Don't pay unless your loan officer tells you too.

Once I hit around 650 my score has been rising quickly. I'm now over 700 on two reports. I'll probably take a little dive because I just went on an app spree last week but I hope to rebound and go even higher.

Congrats. I too had a messy divorce to deal with and my scores suffered bad. I have spent the last 10 years rebuilding and after the last one fell off, my scores shot up over 800.

Congratulations! Hard work really does pay off when it comes to your credit. I recently was able to buy a great house with a low interest rate because I was able to clean up my credit over the past few years using advice from this forum. It will all work out in the end.

I would try a PFD with Merrick Bank, since I'm not sure if they would remove the baddie otherwise. You could also try to GW any paid baddies, which took years off my rebuilding. Sometimes, it takes a little persistence, but you are often get baddies removed if you try.
