@Grover627 I'd wait till your score hits 675 so you can use the same hard pull as your auto loan. They will also lower your rate with an EQ Credit score of 675 to 11.5% APR. So it will be a win win and I'm sure they will up your limit as when i first applied I was at a score of 611 and got a 1500$ Limit. When my score hit 680 I Refi my car from 9% to 1.99% and got a CLI to 5000. I'd also try an dyou you utilzation down and it will help raise your scores alot.

DCU Rates vs Scores below.

EQ 675 - 11.5% APR

EQ 700 - 9.5% APR

EQ 730 - 8.5% APR - BEST RATE!

Congrats on the huge score bump!

I am up 6 points since last month to 665! Only 10 more points until I will refinance my auto loan with them to 1.99%- right now I am at 5.49%.

Question: I have had my account with them for 7 months now, and my credit card has been stuck at a CL of $500. My other cards have all grown, and this is now my lowest limit. DCU also houses my checking and savings accounts. My overall utilization is about 40%. Should I ask them for a CLI, knowing that it will probably be a hard inquiry, or should I wait for some auto-love from them?

Looking for opinions...

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, lowering the utilization to get the scores up would be the reason I am considering asking DCU for a CLI now instead of waiting til I hit 675. I am also paying down my cards, but that is a slow and steady process. Getting a CLI would be a quick way to lower my utilization, and thus bump my score. But the extra hard inquiry that goes with it would be a negative.

I think the score there is a few days old, My EQ score here went from 685 to 699 on 12/26. The score there is dated today (12/27) but it shows 685. Both of my scores are usually the same. Maybe they didn't update at the same time because of the holiday?
