Not that I plan to apply for any credit very soon but do you need to update your address if you move to the credit agencies? Just wondering.

You can but your creditors will take care of that when they update your reports.

The primary benefit to updating your current address is to potentially avoid mismatching of items to your credit file.

The CRAs use an algorithm to match reporting with the proper file.

The primary personal identifies used are the supposedly unique identifies.... SSN or Tax ID.

If a primary identifier is missing or incorrect, they resort to secondary personal items, such as full name and current address.
