So as it would appear TransUnion will offer me a free credit report because state law (GA) "says so". THe catch is possibly that you have to create a TransUnion account and im wondering if it seems legit?

My main concern is i have opted out and do not want this signing up process to possibly opt me back in. THis is very important as i am in medical dispute process.

thanks for the help

I would try annualcreditreport.com . They are free once a year you just have to put in basic information about yourself. Worth a shot.

Understandable. As far as the transunion website, yes it's safe to register I have a 3-1 account with them as well...
