I havent been able to find an answer for this anywhere, and in a lot of places the wording is tricky.

If i got a joint credit card with someone that had, no / low / bad credit, but my credit score was good. Would it bring down my credit score just by having it? Or, is my credit score not affected until the card is used, or misused, in anyway?

I would caution being a joint applicant with anyone ESP if they have issues with their credit. You can help them by making them an AU on your cc and not giving them the card.

Thank you for your reply. I'm not worried about them misusing the joint card, I just wanted to know the answer. However getting approved for a decent cc may end up being tricky. Because of their credit. I was considering making them an AU also, but I thought that didn't help their score anymore. Would making them an AU help them establish credit if they had none, or help bring up their score if it is bad / low?

Depends on how the specific creditor handles AU's. Some disregard them. Some do not. Some creditors don't report on the AU's credit and those situations won't help the AU either.

One more question. Does anyone have any suggestions on which card I can apply for, for a joint credit card? I'm looking for a visa or mastercard, preferably with some sort of reward program. I know a lot of places like capital one, citi, chase, or bank of america don't allow it anymore. So I would appreciate anything that anyone can recommend.
