sounds like you could have a split file though I have only heard of this happening sometimes when people have in excess of 100 accounts and the bureau has a hard time maintaining all the data. If you are a jr. sr. or III IV or sometimes with or without middle initial if not a consistent address may be a distinguising factor also. If you want it corrected you should probably start with trying to talk to someone at TU and you will probably have to follow up in writing.

Two TransUnion Reports?

Hi! First post, quick question. I've noticed my tu report comes in two flavors...one has most of my student loans and most of my credit cards while the other has the six accounts not listed on the other. SSN and DOB is the same. Only difference is name (middle initial and suffix). Do I need to contact tu to get the reports merged or the lending institutions? Interesting to see two reports...it seems like sites like myFico and credit karma get the abbreviated report while my CC companies and monitoring service get the other, more complete report.

Any feedback is much appreciated! Thanks

Bumpage (bumping off hard inquiries from your credit report using soft pulls to raise your score) will sometimes cause your files to split. Pain in the butt right?

By suffix you mean generation code like JR SR etc. If so that is why you have two files with TU also the middle intial as well could be givingyou grief as well. You contact those creditors and work with to get these accounts reporting to TU correctly.
