Experian Can't Verify Identity

I pull my free credit report each year from each bureau. I never have a problem with Transunion or Equifax, but Experian always tells me they can't verify my identity and has to mail me a code to use. This is after they ask me questions that have nothing to do with anything on my credit report in order to supposedly verify my identity; so I always have to use the "does not apply" answer. Why don't they ask me about things that are actually on my report?? Does anyone else have this problem?

I had the same problem only with Equifax instead of Experian. My Equifax report is really thin though so I think they had trouble finding enough stuff to use in the verification process. I always get asked about my mortgage and car loans...none of which I have. The first time I nearly had a heart attack thinking my identity was probably stolen by no less than 62 people.

It happens.

I've lost electronic access to my EX file: it worked call it two years ago and I've been lazy about going through the snail mail process to try to get my report and see if I can get my electronic access restored, if that's even possible based on what I've read from others. Actually I really should go do that today, fun fun.

I know what you mean! The first time they asked me about a loan I didn't have, I panicked. Now I just sigh and wait for the snail mail to arrive. The interesting thing is I did have a mortgage they could ask me about, but instead they ask me about a mortgage I never had.

I have the same problem every year with TransUnion. When I use AnnualCreditReport.com to get my CRs TransUnion always says that I've already received mine for the year, which is never the case. I always have to call them and escalate to a supervisor to finally get access to my credit report.
