Weird Lending Club Email

Never filled out any loan application with this company ever yet they just sent me some email saying that I got denied for a loan application. Really don't know what to do or whether something happened in their system that sent me an email by mistake but I don't know what to do.

Went to the TU dispute website and it's showing as some account review so it wasn't a HP I think and it said it wouldn't affect my credit score.

If it was me I would contact Lending Club and find out what's going on. It maybe identity theft it's better safe then sorry.

I just sent them an email telling them about this just in case.

Are you trying to apply for a loan ? Like Prosper, Avant.... for instance. There is a web that will check for all of them and you consent to that. If not, I would start putting your credit to a monitoring service and lock it to see.

OP, did you get a response from them?? same thing happened to me today, I got an email saying I was denied for a loan when I did not apply for a loan from them, though I went to their site before just to see if I am qualified for any loan and say wont affect credit doing so but I did not apply. its weird. I also sent an email to them and I will call transunion for this.

+1 First thing that comes to my mind is Identify theft.
