My EQ report lists my current address and some old addresses I have used. Under the old addresses it has one that I never had. Is this something worth having removed. If not can it ever become an issue.

It's not fraud related as I think I know why its showing. Back in 2005 I was in school and took some time off. Since I wasn't enrolled my student loan kicked in. At the time being busy with work and other things I didn't think to much about it. A few months in I get a 30 day notice from Sallie Mae in the mail. Thing is I never received a bill. Quickly I call them up to resolve this issue. They ask to confirm my address and it's totally wrong not even the same state. That's where my bill was sent, funny the 30 day notice made it to the right address! I wasn't to happy but we work it out, late fee gets removed CR get fixed no problems. How does that even happen, same name, similar SS, drunk rep, who knows?

Great question! Found erroneous addresses too. I filed a dispute and made them delete/remove. LexisNexis had me living in Texas and I never lived there. EQ and EX are pains but go after it. Was denied a card because I could not confirm a public information question on an old address. So I had as many removed as possible.

No, nothing seems to fall off. My LexisNexis report had 52 addresses. Unreal. Note, several are the same address with a different letter or number. UNREAL!

If its old I cant see it being any issue except when doing the security check for your report they may ask if youve lived on that address, if you dont remember it youll fail the security question.

Theyve done it to me too, I had an address in a different state. A car loan listed that I never took out, I also had a background check showing on my report (right around the time they caught the guy). Those were some murderer in another state with almost an identical name to me except his last name was Swaggerty mine doesnt have 2 Gs. They may of just looked for your name and sent it to someone with the same name.
