Easy to join Credit Union

Any good credit unions that anyone can join and to join is a SP? I know of SDFCU I know they are good, I just waned to know any others? I'm just looking for good benefits on cheques accounts and savings accounts like interest and good credit products also.

I've read numerous folks' comments that say the savings account is a sp and a credit card app. uses same sp information.

I don't know where you live, but TechCU isn't too bad, the minimal requirement is to live in counties near san fran. i opened checking and savings, was easy and no hp.

DCU wasn't an HP for me. But for a lot of people here on this forum it's an HP so YMMV. Seems like EQ just forgot to put something there.

I'd avoid NASA if you are looking for good interest and good checking account. Their checking account has fees (looked it up during the NASA app craze a while back). Also, NASA hard pulls for checking (per first two google results on a google search for "nasa checking hard pull?" Also, their savings accounts are fairly low interest. NASA might just SP now, but it was a HP in the past (most NASA SP claims are for savings and credit card).

I know Capital One and Allied Bank have high savings interest rates. The savings accounts are only SPs last I checked for both. Far as checking accounts go, most checking accounts tend to be hard pulls. Personally, I tend to look for a truly free checking account to avoid fees and costs. A hard pull is worth the lack of fees.

Nasa was soft pull EX for me. EX cannot be on security freeze. It might have changed in the last 2 months.

For me NASA was SP and DCU was HP.

Having said that, the HP to set up checking, etc at DCU is probably one of the best HPs I've ever used.

Logix CU out of SoCal. Same HP on EX can be used for membership and credit products.

Lowest APR on CCs is 9.24%. Good scores can lock in 4.99% APR for 24 months on BTs.
