Life Lock

Does anyone use this ? Even though I am not a victim of the anthem hack, all these data breaches have me nervous. I started activating 2step authentication on my email and other accounts .. going to make more complex passwords, etc. I currently have 3B monitoring through myfico but I was looking at adding life lock since they monitor other stuff. Possibly freezing my reports as well.

Do your google research. It seems to be the best out there. Its supported by Rush and Hannity, it must be worthy!

I wonder if former Senator Fred Thompson supports reverse mortgage? Or if Alex Trebek supports Colonial Penn? They're basically just to scam seniors. These two programs are horrible.

Just awful. What a dumb idea posting your SS# all over. I've searched Google in the past and there are so many bad stoies about lifelock.

Yea I think I am going to just up my subscription here to ID monitoring since it monitors the same stuff as life lock

I've used (still use) it for several years, the main benefit is it tells me when personal info such as address, phone changes on my bank/credit accounts and when someone opens an account in my name/ss# it tells me via text/email right that instant I am there (for example, opened cell account and i got a text someone was opening an account---it was me, of course).

I prefer Identity Guard's Platinum Program. It's $190 a year and you get the monthly credit reports, quarterly public reports, credit alerts, monitoring, identity theft insurance, etc.

Hi DarkFrosty,

IMHO and personal experience, they are not worth the money. Our experience was that you will receive alerts from MyFico well before you hear from LifeLock.

Two very good reasons to not use it.

Actually my favorite podcaster/comedian Adam Corolla promotes it to. Been thinking about using it once I re-establish my credit. With all the hacks and fraud going on these days, some kind of protection is needed IMHO.
