The offer I got last yr was $76 for the savings acct (a take on 1776) and $100 for the checking after I used the debit card 5 times. I didnt need the accounts either but I wanted that money LOL!!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;HR /&gt;&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;P&gt;Definitely wait for a better offer.&amp;nbsp;I got $100 for checking and $100 for savings right around Black Friday.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am looking into possibly setting up a new savings acct (I currently have one with my exisiting bank).&amp;nbsp; Would opening an account with Capital One or Synchrony help me in the eyes of those companies in regards to issuing credit cards or raising limits on current ones? &amp;nbsp;I currently have 2 cards with Cap1 and, as of yet, I have not cracked into Synchrony.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>I don't think it would hurt with Capital One but not sure if it has been proven to help.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Synchrony Bank is just a finance company they don't issue checking or savings accounts that I know of. (quick Google search does bring up a way to create a savings account so no idea) .</description>
