I was able to pull up my Experian score for $1 by logging into Experian.com and joining a 7-day promotion, which I will cancel at the end otherwise it boots me into one of their regular programs. But if you want to see your report but don't want a monthly payment, I recommend throwing a buck at this site.

I believe part of the confusion is that until just a short time ago the consumer could not get an Experian FICO score from any site or source. For several years EX simply stoppped selling FICO's to the general public.

In those days if you clicked on any of the CRA's websites from annualcreditreport.com the only place to get a true FICO score was Equifax and even then you had to be careful (just like today) that you weren't buying the EQ proprietary credit score which is not used by any lenders.

Going to TU and EX directly from annualcreditreport back then would not yield you a FICO score either.

But now yes you can get an EX FICO from their website.
