What have you found to be the best credit monitoring service on the market?

I have looked at Equifax , Transunion and Experian and you have to buy your scores and reports from all of them separatley. I have looked at MyFico however the research I have done shows that its not up to date information and that there can be a large discrepancy between the big 3 reporting agencies and Myfico scores. Who has had success with someone that offers a total package with ALL reports and True Fico scoring models used by lenders that allows you to monitor your credit? Thank you

Keep in mind that there isn't just one FICO model used by creditors (see also the Understanding FICO Scoring subforum and its stickies) and no service out there provides every FICO score. You need to carefully consider what specific scoring model(s) you're interested in and whether or not a given service provides that score. Both CCT and myFICO offer FICO 8's but myFICO does offer limited access to other FICO models. The specific scoring model will have an impact on the number generated from the report data and you cannot use a score generated by one mdel to determine a score generated by a different model.

As mentioned above, CreditCheck Total has been a very popular topic recently because it provides FICO 8's and many have been able to negotiate a reduced rate by threatening to cancel during the trial period.

Be very careful with your research. They do not all provide FICO's.

If you're considering myFICO monitoring then make sure you understand the triggers.

It is up to date but it is only updated based on trigger activity.

As for discrepancies, one can't simply assume that scores and data from all 3 CRA's should be identical. If you mean something else by "discrepancy" then please clarify. Any monitoring service can potentially run into data issues causing discrepancies.

I don't use any of the above and just use CK to monitor my TU and EQ reports. Considering something for my EX reports but haven't selected anything yet. I recommend focusing on report data versus specific numbers unless you can confirm exactly which model and CRA a creditor will pull for you can can obtain that specific score.
