IMPOSSIBLE myfico simulator says 25pts drop!!!!

My TU fico stimulator says that my score will drop 25 points if I open a new STORE CARD....... My score will drop 5 points if I open a new CREDIT CARD. Why? What is the difference that my score can take a serious hit like that it can't be aaoa.

I want to open a store card because I really really want the best buy card. I would directly apply for the my best buy platinum but you can't decide what card you want to apply for so you never really know what card your getting and the platinum is much harder to get than the preferred my best buy store card and my TU FICO IS 695

It's not a stimulator. If you're using it for stimulation you're using it wrong.

It doesn't really mean much. Don't rely on it. There isn't just one FICO model anyway so there's no way that the simulator can simulate every FICO model.

I've found that simulator to be very off when it comes to stuff like that.

As far as it being a "stimulator", maybe im not getting what I should be for my $24.95/mo! haha

Your stimulator calculates credit scores? I need a new one then. All mine says is "requires 4 double A batteries".

Well I'm glad you all are amused stimulator simulator it means same thing what ever it means doesn't change that if I open a retail card my pts will go down by 25 on my TU. TODAY I was approved for care credit and it's a retail card go figure TU

Entertainment factor aside, did you have a retail/store account on your TU credit report beforehand?

Been some conjecture that retail tradelines are a negative, haven't found / seen proof of that though was one datapoint which suggested that was the case.

Home Depot Consumer. CL $6000
WAL-MART (Non-MasterCard) CL $5000
BOA Cash Rewards CL $2000
Capital one quicksilver one MC CL $2000
WELLS FARGO secured card CL $500
(Dates of whitch all above accounts were open range from Jan-March 2015)

New accounts that I was approved for today and yesterday
Care Credit CL $5500 (RETAIL)
QuickSilver Platnium VISA CL$3000

Honestly, not bad at all!! i was expecting more store cards. IMO, you're good to go. You have good cards. I would garden for a year or two and then get a chase and/or amex.

You probably wont use that care credit card much and will end up closing it.

You can merge the two cap1 into one after 6 months. I would wait longer and try to get CLIs on both as high as you can

Can wells fargo turn into unsecured eventually? if yes, that'll be cool. Somehow a hard bank to get in to and you're in already.

BOA is great and will grow

Home Depot is another card lots os users get denied...good you have it already!

By the way, you really should change the title of your thread to simulator lol...just saying

I edited my title and put simulator. I really appreciate the entire breakdown and your comments on every card that i have, i wanted to thank you and i am even more happy for the cards that i worked hard to prove to banks that i need and deserve, well appreciated
