basically prior to my last app in dec 2014 I cancelled about 20 CC's and kept 4 (see signature line); and kept 5 PLOCs. Have not apped since Dec 2014, paid in full every month and that's all...just gardened (no new apps of any kind). Just showing if one holds steady and no new apps, pay on time (or in full in my case and on time), you will see improvements in your FICo which is why people are on here...to optimize their credit report to reach whatever goals. So gardening is a good thing, and just like real gardening, it is about preparing for the future and harvesting at a future point.

Congratulations on your 32 point increase.

Since you have been gardening for 12 months, any HPs still on file should have passed 12 months and no longer impact score. That alone (if you had 4 or more) would likely boost score by a solid +20 points - IMO. Because Fico 8 BC is derived from Fico 8, they are strongly correlated. I suspect your classic Fico 8 has gone up 20 to 30 points as well.

Oh wait, my last hard pull was Dec 2014 (5 total inquiries in 2014 trying to get iberia bank and trying twice for simmons, etc), so even though they do not fall off until Dec 2016 you are saying after 12 months the 5 inquires show up but do NOT factor into FICO score any longer?! I did not know that I thought for 2 years the inquires will impact my score. You learn something new everyday on here! Thanks!
