I have a BOA CC charged-off account. The account was purchased by another lender and it is reported as paid with zero balance. The first delinquency date was June 2003 and charged-off by BOA in September 2004. If I dispute the account with the CRA is it still possible BOA will respond to the CRA investigation even though they sold the account?

The new lender/purchaser is not reporting the account on my CR.

Is there a risk where BOA might re-age the CO or refer to the new lender/purchaser?
