Hard Inquiries Expire?

I just hit 2 years on a CC, and was wondering if TU and EQ erase HP's at 2 years exactly or later? Thanks all

As always, its a YMMV, but my 2 yr old inquiries for a car loan fell off right on time.

Mine always fall off two years later on the exact date.

From what I have experienced, the inquiries have dropped off at the end of the month in which they were incurred, two years later.

I had something weird where two TU inquires that are due to expire this month vanished in April. Then they came back a week later. It was like they were messing with me with a mini R*.

My inquiries on TU seem to fall off a little early. Both other credit bureaus the end of the month of the inquiry.

I know for sure by the end of the month for me. I don't focus on the exact date just month and year.

It feels good when inqs drop off.

They will fall off right on time and the ones that reach 12 months will not count toward your fico score but will remain on your report for another year.

Mine seem to fall off differently with each bureau, but by the end of the month.

Seems to be a common theme around here with TU lately. There are guys that have reported having 15+ inquiries on TU and all of them vanish for a month or two then come back. When you're talking that many inquiries, it can yo-yo your score a bit.

Thanks again all. My EQ and Tu hard pulls fell off on the exact day for 2 years, just verified it.

The FCRA does not regulate the exclusion/deletion of inquiries from consumer credit reports.

The deletion is purely an administrative determination by each CRA, and can happen earlier or later, purely at the discretion of the CRA.

If inquries are not deleted after two years, the best one can do is contact the CRA with an informal request for their removal.

There is no formal basis for requiring removal.
