Does Chase ever reopen?

I've had two CC from chase that they closed in Jan due to being over the limit and having late payments. Since then, i've got them under control and have payed off one with a 2K CL. The other has a 5800 CL and that one i'll have down to under 4K by the end of the week. All payments since Jan have been on time. Any chance that Chase will reopen? Should I ask them? My scores are Tu610, EQ617, and EX633.

How are they reporting to the CRAs? Lates only, CO, COLL?

Just as late. No CO, no Coll. Just closed. Both closed in Jan 07, one just paid off last month (about 2K), one still paying on (currently have balance of $4800, down from $6600, and will pay $1400 by monday). I guess because I haven't been late since then that they want to just keep collecting my 29% interest?

any thoughts? should i wait until they are paid off to ask? Incidentally, I called to see if there was anything they could do for me (the number that was on my Jan statement back when I SHOULD have called to avoid them shutting me off, but they said there was nothing they could do...couldn't lower interest or anything. I didn't specifically ask for them to reopen)

I want to apply for a mortgage in the next month or two and am afraid of how this will look.

Worth giving them a call, but I would not hold my breath. Ask whether the account can be reopened and tell them when and how you are going to make final payment. If you have not already sent payment, then perhaps if they ask for final payment there and then over the phone, you might possibly be able to get the account reopened. If they don't ask, then you might try offering payment in full there and then to get the account reopened.
