Discover CC Closing Date: Sunday?

My first statement's closing date is April 23rd, which happens to be a Sunday. I'll be on a vacation that entire week but want to try to make sure my balance is $0 on the first statement (I PIF every 4 days already just to keep available credit at maximum).

Does anyone know what Discover CC's do when a closing date is on a Sunday? Do they close the period on Friday instead? It matters as I'll be using the card while traveling, and want to make sure I don't end up with 80% utilization by accident.

Discover closes 7 days a week they do not change weekend closing dates.

Good to know! I haven't tested a weekend payment yet but so far every payment has been "accepted" on the date it was made and I assume Discover isn't going to be a problem.

I do have a Discover checking account I just opened which is what I'll use to make payments. Not sure if it matters but I wanted to give their regular banking a shot for the meager rewards they offer.
