I used My Fico to tell my mortgage lender my scores before he pulled the report. Lo and behold, they were 100% spot on correct as I had just that morning updated with a 3B report showing my updated mortgage scores. The scores were an exact match. I suspect MyFico is not where the problem lies. Beyond that I know nothing.

this is the second time in a few years that I've subscribed to My Fico...both times, I think my score is decent only to have a mortgage company run my credit and it's 30-40 points lower than what My FICO is showing, it seems that Credit Karma is more accurate. It's very frustrating getting my score on My Fico, and then finding out it's not even close to what the mortgage company is pulling.....what is the deal with that?

MyFico offers you FICO 08s but you can also look up all the other dozens of FICO scores that various lenders pull.

Ask your lender WHICH FICO score they pull, then look it up on the MyFico login under "Scores" -- it lists a lot of them.

If you're subscribed to myFICO your "ones used in mortgages" scores will match the ones the lenders pull 99.99% of the time, but you only get that when you look at the reports. The subscriber scores that get updated are FICO 8 and those are almost never used in the mortgage market.

http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Mortgage-Loans/FICO-scores-used-for-mortgage-and-where-to-obtain-them/td-p/3817869
