Can someone please help me explain what these alerts mean. On July 20 my sister disputed 2 collections with Equifax, then went online to dispute 3 accounts due for deletion in December.

On July 28 she signed up for mint. On July 30 she got 5 alerts showing :
ALERTS
account closed
It looks like you closed your account with Portfolio Recovery

Etc the same for the rest of the accounts.
Anyone knows what it means. The accounts was already marked closed on Equifax . We tried doing another dispute but Equifax has been down since 3 days ago. Tia

Tia

Here is what I have found out from disputes (not sure if this is for everyone). If you do a dispute and they make a change even if it's to validate (staying the same) it will trigger an alert on your account. It doesn't always happen though.

I hope equifax fixes the online dispute soon. I want to dispute a few things. Also TU as they have me locked out of my account for some reason or another.

Yeah same here for transunion, been locked out for years. I don't care because when I call in I get transferred to special handling , same as Experian. Then as for experian I order a report every 3 months because of my fraud alert which is free.
