In light of the Equifax breech (I hope they get sued into bankruptcy) if I put a FREEZE on my CRAs, can/does MyFico still report score changes, balance alerts, etc.? Currently building a home and don't want anything shady to happen in the interim until the bank pulls the report again in the spring close to closing.

I'd sort of rather they stayed in business.

My lowest score is TransUnion and my highest Experian. If Equifax is out of business and there are only two credit bureaus left, there's a 50% chance lenders will pull my lowest scored credit report.

The way I look at it, data breaches are a way of life and it's unlikely they will ever end. Neither can you always be 100% safe from a successful attack. We will just have to get used to the new norm.
