Is it okay to email goodwill letters? And I found the president of the collection agency on the website of the capital accounts (collection agency). Is it worth sending to the president?

I just found a medical debt that I had paid on my credit report. The balance was paid in full 3 years ago and my report says that it's paid. Is it possible for me to have it removed? I have heard of goodwill letters. Would it benefit me to do so? And who would I send the letter to? The collection agency or the original creditor?

Payment for removal is usually negotiated at the time of the payment, is it too late? Probably, but a good will letter never hurt, sometimes you get lucky catching someone in a good mood on the other end. Who to send the letter to? Whomever reported it to the CRAs, probably the collection agency but you should double check your report.
