Anyone know how to cancel CCT trial, minus the 2 hr on hold time?

I changed my credit card info to an old prepaid card and I emailed them that I wanted to cancel. You’ll still get alerts trying to get you to sign up again though.

That's great! Unfortunately I don't have any cards that wouldn't allow the charge to go through.

I had the same problem but finally got it done in November. I sent an email to help@creditchecktotal.com and explained that my mobile plan (while generous) didn't allow me to continue to hold for 2+ hours and that I wanted my membership cancelled immediately and confirmation of it sent to me via email. It's important that you include the following info in the email request:

last four of your social

house numbers in address ( like 1234)

Date of birth

zip code

name

email address

CCT member #

phone

I then explained that if I was billed again on the 15th of the month, I would be disputing the charge with my credit card company.

I figured that my email gave them 2 weeks before the next auto payment. I sent it on the 2nd of November and received a confirmation of cancellation email on the 11th.

You might want to try calling them right when their call center opens (9AM ET on weekdays and 11AM ET on weekends). I called them about 3 weeks ago and was able to get through to a rep in about 15 minutes.

Next time you're at a grocery store or any place that sells a basic Visa gift card, score one with a $25 balance. Use that card for CCT $1 trials. If the trial is up and they don't cancel it for you (for any reason) when they try to bill you the $29.99 monthly membership fee it won't go through with the card on file since your balance on the card is less than that. Repeat the process, only using that gift card for your CCT $1 trials.

You as well! I think I'm down to about $15 left on my GC, but that should take me through the rest of 2018. I tend to do 1 trial per month on average, with 2 trials per month during months where I have a lot of score-changing things going on.

Well, with $0 you won't be able to use that card for any future trials... but if you're simply inserting it into the card on your account sure, it will prevent you from receiving any future charges

Understood. Once you remove a card from their system, it's gone, so there's no chance of you getting charged anything.

I was more concerned with using a crappy netspend card that was like a prepaid debit card, would I be better off with a visa gift card?

I guess I feel that this is like playing with a grenade lol, I mean they are through a CRA lol

I don't think it matters honestly. Maybe .01% of their customers are smart enough to use a card that they know will get denied in the event of a full membership charge being attempted. I don't think CCT really cares about that .01%, so we can continue doing what we're doing

Well, cancelled CCT @ 44 mins later. NOT BAD! Unfortunately, they did not offer $15. a month deal. :\ CSR said they no longer offer promo’s, that it WOULD be $29. deal. RATS! But, cancellation was easy as pie. PLUS, still have access until the 15th of March. 😊

“I’ll be BOCK!” in a few weeks to try again. Hopefully, the $1 trial will still be available?? We shall see!

It will. I'm probably nearing 50 times doing a $1 trial at this point.
