Opt in prescreen

I've noticed I haven't received any offers for years and I remembered that I opt out 10 years ago! So today I opt in and hoping I would start getting some pre approval credit cards !

Does anyone know how long it may take possibly for opt in to take affect ?

Can you tell me how you go about opt in for these offers? I noticed on my credit reports it says that I have opt out as well.

I opted in and it took about 3-4 months for me to begin receiving prescreen offers. Nobody is banging down my door though. (Recent bk) I've gotten maybe three mailers from creditone and that's it. I've prequal'ed for other, better credit without getting the mailers.

The physical process of notifying the CRAs and updating your status with them is only part of the delay.

It is only after the opt-in is completed that requests for screening and listings from creditors begins.

After the CRA has then done its screeing and sent the listing of names of consumers who meet the criteria, the creditor then must process the listing and send any offers.
