Experian free daily Fico Score and report email

Hi,

I received an email on April 11th from Experian saying, "

Introducing your free FICO® Score, (name removed) In appreciation of you as our valued customer, you can now see your FICO Score. Plus, enjoy free credit monitoring and alerts!"

I'm sorry, I do not have a picture icon to be able to upload my screenshot of the email. So now I get daily updated Fico 8 scores and credit reports from them. I have never purchased anything in the past unless it was a report or score from over 10 years ago. I want this for my husband but have no idea how to get this (targeted?) email for him. I figured out how to get his credit score monthly though Experian by means of FreeCreditScore.com but I would really like the daily reports. Does anyone know of another way to get this? Thank you!

How do you know that your score and report are being updated every day?

I could definitely be wrong but my score has changed twice in the 2 weeks since they gave me the free access to it. It shows on my score tracker, so it's not being updated only once a month.

Good. This is the thing you can conclude with confidence. Infering that the score is being updated daily is a far stronger claim.

At myFICO the FICO 8 score can be updated 2, 3, or even 4 times a month. But that doesn't mean people are getting a new score every day. Typically MF is notified if a small number of "triggers" occur, and if they do, then it pulls your report and score again. But the score might change a number of times without the alertable event happening, and the MF customer would never know.

EX may be doing something similar -- updating your score only in the event that X or Y occurs.

But you could well be right and maybe it is being pulled once a day.

FYI - The EX product does pull a new report and FICO score daily. It updates at 12am PST. This is evidenced by my own daily usage of the product, as well as the log of daily softpulls by EX on my report.

That's what I was thinking because it does show a credit score for each date.

Thank you! That's what I signed my husband up for. It's just different in that it only reports the score once a month, but that's better than nothing

Oh. Gotcha. I missed that. Then I don't know of an EX free daily pull product. I subscribe to the CreditWorks product and the only other one I know of is IdentityWorks - but neither are free beyond the promo period. Sorry - seems you got lucky with a targeted offer if your service is permanently free.

So what is the difference between www.creditscore.com and www.freecreditscore.com ? Both were mentioned in this thread and both appear to be Experian sites.

Nothing other than the site's design and some basic content - like the blog. Experian is just manipulating search algorithms to bring as much traffic to tbeir products as possible by acquiring multiple domains.
