Unlocked Equifax's Credit Report Control. How long before a lender will be able to get to it?

So we locked my wife's Eq Credit report control. We want a lender to pull our credit. Is it available right away to him or does he now have to wait until he can get it? We'd like him to pull it right away instead of waiting.

Usually instantly or nearly instantly, unless your state has laws that dictate the waiting period, though it's usually no more than a few days.

According to https://datcp.wi.gov/Pages/Publications/IDTheftCreditReportFreeze632.aspx:

How long does it take for a security freeze to be lifted?

Credit reporting agencies must lift a freeze no later than three business days after receiving your request.

The law gives the bureaus 3 days to remove the freeze.

It seems to me that @hankejp is asking specifically about locks rather than freezes. Making his reports available should be nearly instant.

Thank you. It's a moot point now. Our lender pulled this morning and was able to get all the scores.
