Need to know what next step is

Hi everyone,

I sent experian MOV, CMRRR, and they did receive it, however, it's almost been 30 days, and I have received no correspondence from them. If they do not reply to the MOV, what is the next step to take?

Send additional CMRR (w/ copy of Green card from last one) letter stating that time for investigation has elapsed... Please delete TL...

I believe they have 30-45 days. Spoke with Experian about an investigation that they are performing on my report which started on 06/18/2007. Thought it would be complete by 07/18/2007, but the gentleman told me 30-45 days. He told me to call back in two days, and if they have not verified the incorrect info, they will update my report in my favor!!

Stupid question here.....what is MOV?? Checked the common abrev. thread and did not see it. Just wondering.

MOV is method of verification. You can request from the credit bureau how they verified your dispute. They often get their info from 3rd parties, instead of the OC, so chances are they are not doing their job. If you dispute, and they say verified and accurate, and you think their info is wrong, you can request them to provide you with what method they used to verify

I thought that they only had 30 days to complete UNLESS you add info.to your dispute during the 30 day time period or IF you filed with a free report.

The FCRA only allows 30 days once they receive the dispute. They can have an additional 15 days if there is additional information.

I think an ITS letter might be in order.

Can anyone give me an example of a ITS letter? I don't see one on the frequently requested threads. Thank you!

But if the TL is with a CA, they only need to get verify with them correct? Suppose the CA does not have the correct information from the OC?

If a TL sells or turns over to a CA they MIGHT NOT keep any info. An answer from a CA,due to a DV letter, MUST contain complete info. or it isn't any good

I send 2 DV's this week & in it I asked for:

Doc proof that it was in my name

complete payment history

name, address & phone # of OC

amount of debt.

But the MOV pertains to a dispute with the CRA correct? A DV is a letter sent directly to the CA, right. OHHHH this is sooo confusing!

Daytona you are correct the DV is with the CAs and the MOV is with the the CRAs. I hope that helps.
