I agree you should pull your credit reports, but I recommend pulling one every four months that way you have a "fresh" one every four months. You can get your TU and Equifax report from Credit Karma for free. You already are receiving your Experian score. Maybe pull the TU and compare it with the CK score.

Slight back story, i use experian to check all of my scores, hit the love button just to see what would happen as my capital one card was just upgraded from a platinum to QS, they declined it (bummer) but the score they provided in the decline letter from equifax was over 100 points lower than the one showing on experian and I was wondering how this was possible?

The difference between your EX FICO 8 and the EQ score provided by CapOne may be due to the FICO score model used by CapOne. Data points indicate CapOne uses one of the older FICO versions --for EQ, it has been noted that FICO 5 (mortage score) is used.

@Anonymous wrote:

You should still pull all three reports though, as suggested by @CreditInspired, just to ensure that they are all accurate. You can do that for free through annualcreditreport.com (reports only, no scores).

Note: If you already have the Experian membership -- you cannot use the CreditCheckTotal $1 trial as it is owned by Experian. They will require you to log in with your current membership username / password and you would have to upgrade to one of the paid memberships get all three reports & scores. You can do that, but the Experian memberships will only give you mortage scores for Experian, not for Transunion and Equifax - they will only provide FICO 8 scores for those two bureaus.

To see all 28 of your FICO scores (FICO 8, auto, mortgage, bankcard, and FICO 9) , you would have to purchase a 3B report from myFICO. Then you could match up the score quoted by CapOne to one of the 28 scores provided to confirm the model used by CapOne.

No ive never pulled them, ill have to do that. But the scores in my sig are from experian and they line up for the most part with discovers score card for the fico 8 and credit karma for the tu and eq as well as the score from creditwise from capital one. Just was confused about the difference in score that capital one provided in the decline letter.

Gotcha, Yeah have figured that out and for everyone posting about the scores, and how to view them i personally use experian to view all 3 TU EX and EQ credit karma scores are a bit off as well but not much and citi bank shows me a score, capital one shows me a score and my auto loan through ally shows me i believe fico auto 3? could be wrong on that.
