I got a alert that that my Chase Bestbuy card im a AU on changed to JPMorgan on my credit report

Chase has a Best Buy card??? I thought Best Buy was a Citi product?

I have a HP thats about to drop and it did change the same as what you are reporting. Checked with DW and her Chase Amazon card changed too.

Yes I've seen all of my Chase cards turn to JP Morgan on my reports, the alert scared me for a second lol..

Now that you mention it... Both of mine show up as "JPMCB - CARD SERVICE" now...

Is Chase getting ready to undergo some kind of brand re-marketing or could this just be some internal shift within Chase's card division itself?

Yep, I got a CK alert about that even though I closed both my Chase cards. I guess since it was a change though, monitoring svcs had to let you know.

Please do not joke like that AverageJoesCredit. (Shudders) While I do not have any issues with Comenity per say they are known to have lower quality product partners which result in my having only one account with them ever(PayPal Credit) and even then they are throwing me out to Synchrony. P.S. Blispay was not run by Comenity but by First Electronic Bank.

Internal restructuring happens every so often. Renaming the account name is nothing new. Be very thankful that they are not trying to call themselves some weird new name. I got an alert recently about all three accounts of mine with Chase being renamed but after closely looking at what the new name is I understood that they were just using the abbreviation for their whole operation. It also might be because of a change in allowable length for that field for all anyone knows.

LOL my good buddy AJC is right you know....Comenity just bought Blispay.....hence his very funny comment about them buying Chase....Joey is SUCH a crack up!!!

Lol, indeed With Comenity losing PPC, picking up Blispay has the Blispites drooling

Actually , i can now boast of being an elite Chase card holder as my closed Amazon card is JP Morgan now . I wonder what kind of perks i qualify for being bottom of the rung income lol.

Ps, if anyone gets the Chase Amazon on SCT, please note it DOES count against your 5/24 even though its a store card

Oh man. I never got the news article. In that case I had two bad products from Comenity. I hope Comenity would at least help Blispay restart but if they do I hope that they will add electronic payments because having the old way of waiting 11 days to have your bank issued check get credited sucks. I could not believe my eyes when their system mandated a check be issued.

The name change must be isolated to Credit Karma. Wallethub, and my paid services through MyFICO and Experian Credit Watch show no change in the names of my Chase accounts.

I was first alerted by Credit Sesame then followed by Credit Karma.
