Unless you are 30 days late, it will not report. However internally it may hurt you in regards to when Navy will unsecure it.

Quick question - NFCU late payment

I opened myself a secured NFCU card about 9 months ago. I use it and pay my bill on time every month - not always in full, but still. ANYWAY... while going over my bills/monthly budget earlier, I realized I missed my July payment!! I immediately called and made a (large) payment, but I'm 20 days late. I don't check my reports regularly (as I feel like it's kind of a waste of money), but is it safe to assume that I'll have a 30 day late mark from this?! The kind lady at NFCU wasn't able to tell me if it would be/has already been reported as a late payment.

NFCU doesn’t require a payment every month either, I’ve noticed that every other month I end up having $0 minimum payments so you would need to look at your statements and see if July was one of them.

As you can see, despite having a balance, July was a $0 due month for me. I don’t know their threshold for when they don’t require the next payment, I just know it’s more than the minimum the prior month that triggers it.

But as @Jnbmom says, unless it was over 30 days late it won’t hit the bureaus regardless.
