I recently signed up for a trial at creditchecktotal and found out the credit file was too new to score

It appears my only option with them is to pay $30 to see the reports again next month

Is there a source that allows you to view changes in reports and scores as they happen instead of a single update monthly?

Not for free there isn’t. Experian has a decent offer for daily experian reports, but even that’s not free.

Yea you pretty much only have here (MyFICO subscription) or Experian's monitoring service for $20/month for daily updates (score + report) to Experian, and quarterly updates (score + report) to all three bureaus.

I have both. I have noticed that I get more notifications from Experian and score change alerts than I do with MyFICO, but they are usually the same. As far as daily, I think Experian updates itself once every 7 days but the other 2 is monthly.

You wont have scores till an account reaches 6 months, so start checking at that time.

EX monitoring is done in real time, though scoring and report changes are reflected once in 24 hrs. So if you check at 8 am, but something happens at 9 am, you wont know till the next day

It's really a non issues as most changes occur during data dump hours, right after midnight

As previously mentioned, the two sources for daily monitoring of your credit scores are MyFICO and Experian (CreditCheckTotal is owned by Experian). An Experian CreditWorks Premium is $24.99 monthly if you signup online but $19.99 if you first download the mobile app and signup for an account through the app. ExperianCreditWorks Premium provides daily updates to your Experian FICO scores and credit report and monthly three bureau scores and reports, i.e. it will also tell you your scores on Equifax and TransUnion once a month in addition to your credit reports with those two credit bureaus (this was stated incorrectly above).

The MyFICO Advanced package is a bit more expensive but gives you access to more versions of FICO scores than Experian. It costs 29.95 monthly for daily updates to all three FICO scores and quarterly 3 bureau credit reports.

Experian updates nightly at midnight Pacific Time while, for me, MyFICO most often sends alerts at 8 a.m. and then again at around noon. Also note that Experian has a free version called Experian CreditWorksBasic which gives you your Experian credit report monthly, and alerts to any changes in your Experian credit score as they occur... for most people their credit score does not change daily.

I’m on the FICO premier plan for 49 a month and I can’t update daily. Kind of weird Gotham the cheaper plan offers daily updates yet quarterly reports, and the premier offers no daily updates but monthly reports

@itspaul wrote:
I have the basic free Experian plan.
Whats the benefit of going to the paid plan when all updates and score updates show as they happen on the free plan?

The paid plan will update every day regardless of score changes or alerts and will update once a month for the other two bureaus. The daily Experian updates can give you a lot of insight into your reports and score trends. In addition you get access to Experian credit lock, a service I don't think they should be able to charge for since it's the fact they charge for it that likely keeps their freeze/unfreeze on that clunky pain in the butt form you have to fill out, which may be a benefit depending on your situation.

Personally, I do an Experian trial for a buck on the 1st of every month to track my scores. I keep the app so I can get alerts when anything changes for the rest of the month and I use WalletHub and Credit Karma to monitor TU and EQ (I don't use the scores for anything being Vantage but they produce alerts for the other two bureaus instantly while Experian can be delayed a few days).

Wait...I'm currently on the monthly MyFico plan for $39.95/month and get a new report once a month. I do get updates "supposedly" as they happen but are you telling me that if I downgrade to the quarterly reports for $10.00 cheaper every 3 months, I'll still get daily updates to score if they happen?
